Reparations: the making of amends for a wrong one has done, by paying money to or otherwise helping those who have been wronged.
There has been a lot of talk about reparations for descendants of the “African diaspora” which I have already made known via my Hebrew anthropology series that Negroes are Hebrew Israelite Jews of the House of Judah, the Southern Kingdom of Israel by birth. There are a lot of political articles out there about reparations but what did the Hebrews write about this topic? Here is what is written about when the Hebrews came out of Egypt:
35 Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. 36 And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.
-Exodus 12:35, 36
Egyptian Captivity
So here we see that the ancient Hebrews were awarded reparations coming out of their slavery in Egypt. Not only that but the Egyptians themselves gave freely to the children of Israel even though many of them likely did not necessarily have a hand in the Hebrew captivity. So Elohim (God) Himself approved of their reparations coming out of Egypt. Let’s take a look at another passage when the Jews were coming out of their Babylonian captivity back into their own land:
5 Then the heads of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, with all whose spirits God had moved, arose to go up and build the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem. 6 And all those who were around them encouraged them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.
-Ezra 1:5, 6
Babylonian Captivity
So we see yet again Israelites (in this case, exiled Jews) being paid reparations by the citizens of the Kingdom that held them captive and in this case allowing them to go back home to their own land. It seems very clear here that there is a pattern where the Hebrews go into captivity as punishment but afterward, they are brought out in prosperity. In Genesis, there is even a future prophecy of reparations being paid to Israel:
13 Then He said to Abram: "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 14 And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.
-Genesis 15: 13, 14
Hidden Captivity
We know that this is a future prophecy because Israel had never been afflicted in a land that was not their own for 400 years while in Egypt, Babylon or Assyria; only until recent history. In fact, Judah was reunited with Israel by being brought into America starting in 1619 so the final year of captivity would end around summer of 2020 according to that (Gentile calendar, 365 days in a year) timeline. In any case, whenever the 400 years of affliction ends, the Nation that holds them captive will be judged and Israel will come out with reparations. So I think it’s clear that reparations were given in the past and even prophesied to be given to Israel in the future once we are brought out of our final captivity, the second exodus.
Note: If you’re stuck thinking about the 400 years, here is a link that can help with the understanding of this below. I mentioned in another article that Elohim told Abram about this 400 year affliction the Israelites would have to endure. Therefore, some think the 400 years are according to the Hebrew calendar which is made up of a 360 day calendar year. By that math, the 400 years would end in the summer of 2025. What I choose to focus on is that the 400 years is likely ending soon (these events happening within the next 10 years is soon to me) and I am constantly praying that my mind, heart and soul are prepared for what is to come and how this prophecy and the 2nd exodus will be fulfilled.
