That I will bring judgment on the carved images of Babylon;
Her whole land shall be ashamed

Note: Before getting into this study, it is essential to understand who Israel is in the world. If you are not aware of who the true lineage of peoples that make up Israel are, I recommend that you read my (Scattered) Hebrew Series before getting into this study. I can’t express enough that understanding who the House of Israel is and who the House of Judah are in the world and where they are is the key to unlocking end time prophecy. Then you will see that the prophecies aren’t meant to be nearly as confusing as they seem when you don’t have to sift through all the lies.
There are many different ideas on who the Daughter of Babylon is that are based on various different understandings and interpretations. I am not a prophet, Elohim (God) did not give me a vision explaining to me who the Daughter of Babylon is. I came to this conclusion from studying scripture and listening to those I trust that have a talent for understanding end time prophecy.
6 "Up, up! Flee from the land of the north," says the Lord; "for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven," says the Lord. 7 "Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon."
-Zechariah 2:6, 7; Land of the North clearly reveals that the Daughter of Babylon is a physical Nation among the world associated to a direction where she lies. This Nation also has Zion held captive if Elohim is telling Zion to escape her. Also if she is considered a daughter, then this Nation will likely have a mother country she came from.
Flee from the midst of Babylon,
And every one save his life!
Do not be cut off in her iniquity,
For this is the time of the Lord's vengeance;
He shall recompense her.
7 Babylon was a golden cup in the Lord's hand,
That made all the earth drunk.
The nations drank her wine;
Therefore the nations are deranged.
8 Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed.
Wail for her!
Take balm for her pain;
Perhaps she may be healed.
-Jeremiah 51:6–8; This Nation has sway over the whole Earth and the rest of the Nations, this indicates that she will be a powerful Nation among the world. She will be destroyed suddenly, this passage ends with a potential hope for her healing. Some may be confused that this could be talking of the ancient Babylon, go back and read verses 1–5 in this chapter, you will see that both Israel and Judah are spoken of in verse 5. We know that ancient Babylon took captive the Jews (House of Judah) but only the few remnant left of the House of Israel from the Assyrian captivity. The next time Israel and Judah are seen together is the end times, both of them captive in the Daughter of Babylon so we know this is an end time prophecy.
We would have healed Babylon,
But she is not healed.
Forsake her, and let us go everyone to his own country;
For her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies.
10 The Lord has revealed our righteousness.
Come and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God
-Jeremiah 51:9, 10; Now all her citizens are being told to abandon her indicating this is a Nation of many immigrants. She is being judged and will not be healed. She is held guilty for her sins against Israel and Judah as Zion (descendants of the Jews of Jerusalem) comes out of her seeking to worship their Elohim in their own land (land of Israel). Likely, after and/or during her destruction, the second exodus of Israel will begin.
Set up the standard on the walls of Babylon;
Make the guard strong,
Set up the watchmen,
Prepare the ambushes.
For the Lord has both devised and done
What He spoke against the inhabitants of Babylon.
13 O you who dwell by many waters,
Abundant in treasures,
Your end has come,
The measure of your covetousness.
-Jeremiah 51:12, 13; Although the borders of this Nation are strong, she will be ambushed indicating the attack will likely be unexpected. Inhabitants of Babylon again indicates there are likely many peoples from many Nations within her. This Nation dwells by many waters and is a rich Nation, her end is imminent and Elohim Himself is against her.
For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:
"The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor
When it is time to thresh her;
Yet a little while
And the time of her harvest will come."
-Jeremiah 51:33; Again more foreshadowing to her certain downfall. This indicates that likely she will not repent and make right for her wrongdoings against Israel and Judah until it's too late.
I will punish Bel in Babylon,
And I will bring out of his mouth what he has swallowed;
And the nations shall not stream to him anymore.
Yes, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
45"My people, go out of the midst of her!
And let everyone deliver himself from the fierce anger of the Lord.
-Jeremiah 51:44, 45; Immigrants were apparently drawn to this Nation but will no longer be and her wall is mentioned specifically, that it will be destroyed. Another warning to Israel and Judah held within her to escape as well as all citizens living within her.
Therefore behold, the days are coming
That I will bring judgment on the carved images of Babylon;
Her whole land shall be ashamed,
And all her slain shall fall in her midst.
48 Then the heavens and the earth and all that is in them
Shall sing joyously over Babylon;
For the plunderers shall come to her from the north," says the Lord.
-Jeremiah 51:47, 48; Judgement will come upon the carved images and idols of this Nation. The Heavens and the Earth will sing praises over her destruction.
Thus says the Lord of hosts:
"The children of Israel were oppressed,
Along with the children of Judah;
All who took them captive have held them fast;
They have refused to let them go.
-Jeremiah 50:33
Here it clearly states that both Israel and Judah are held within her as captives and will not let them go as they continue to be oppressed. This is also clear in Jeremiah where it mentions that they again are in the land of the North which as we saw above in Zechariah 2 is a reference to the Daughter of Babylon:
18 "In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers.
-Jeremiah 3:18
According to 2 Esdras 13, the House of Israel (Northern Kingdom of Israel aka lost tribes) migrated to a land where mankind had never dwelt and would be there until the last times. So if Israel would not leave the land they migrated into, Judah must have come into this land where Israel already were if they are together again in the end times. This is exactly what we see with the indigenous Americans being of the House of Israel and “African Americans” and descendants of the “African diaspora” being of the House of Judah and forcefully being brought into the Americas. America, the powerful Nation on the North American continent fits this resume of the Daughter of Babylon. She refuses to make things right with Israel and Judah, not even willing to acknowledge who the true Israelites are and will be judged for what she has done to the children of the Most High.
Let’s take a look at it from the state of Israel perspective. If the state of Israel are true Israel and the second exodus has already happened as they are already back in their land, then who was the Daughter of Babylon they were held captive within and when was she suddenly destroyed? If America isn’t the Daughter of Babylon, then why isn’t America in end time scripture considering how long she has ruled and how powerful she is? This hasn’t happened yet so then how could Israel be back in their own land then if the Daughter of Babylon is still standing? Isn’t it written:
O daughter of Babylon, who are to be destroyed,
Happy the one who repays you as you have served us!
9 Happy the one who takes and dashes
Your little ones against the rock!
-Psalm 137:8, 9
"Behold, a people shall come from the north,
And a great nation and many kings
Shall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
They are cruel and shall not show mercy.
Their voice shall roar like the sea;
They shall ride on horses,
Set in array, like a man for the battle,
Against you, O daughter of Babylon.
43 "The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
And his hands grow feeble;
Anguish has taken hold of him,
Pangs as of a woman in childbirth.
-Jeremiah 50:41–43; Here we see the location of where the enemies of the Daughter of Babylon will come from.
So if America was destroyed, would the state of Israel rejoice as the scriptures state? Apparently true Israel will along with the rest of the world as was mentioned from Jeremiah 51 when the Daughter of Babylon falls. And when did this passage come to fruition?
"Therefore, behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "that they shall no longer say, 'As the Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,' 8 but, 'As the Lord lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I had driven them.' And they shall dwell in their own land."
-Jeremiah 23:7, 8
So this will happen at some point coming up, Israel and Judah will leave out of America to go back to their homeland Israel and we will leave with reparations (see my article on Reparations) as was stated by Elohim Himself:
12 Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. 13 Then He said to Abram: "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 14 And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.
-Genesis 15:12–14
This passage relates to the final captivity but Israel and Judah must be ready when Elohim calls us to come out. Israel and Judah must know who they are and their true heritage. We must be watching and praying and fasting to insure we are ready to leave when we are called to come out of her. We must repent for our sins against our Elohim and the sins of our fathers which is why we were sent into captivity in the first place.
Note: TEOTW (The End of the World) Ministries has some exceptional insight into the end time prophecies. Although we have differing views on some aspects of Hebrew anthropology, I highly recommend them for prophecy study.
Mystery Babylon is clearly revealed to be a specific city among the Earth, therefore the Daughter of Babylon and Mystery Babylon cannot be the same location since the Daughter of Babylon is a Nation (although it is possible Mystery Babylon could be within the Daughter of Babylon). While I may write an article on Mystery Babylon in the future, I do not have plans to currently since I am torn between three cities that it may be. If Elohim gives me insight, then I will write on Mystery Babylon as well.
